How to practice netiquette
We can practice netiquette when communicating on the net by applying the simple rules of netiquette, such as:
- Using Respectful Language
- Using proper grammar/spelling
- Respecting other people's time and privacy
- Avoid online fights/arguments
There are many other rules of netiquette that we can do but these are some very simple ones that anyone can do. One way you can practice netiquette is by commenting your own thoughts or opinions on a blog, or you can just simply chat your friends. Just remember to always be aware of what you are saying and apply the rules of netiquette. We should know the rules of netiquette because it shows respect and privacy to other users.
Some scenarios/situations that you may encounter and how to handle them
First Scenario: Someone shared/spread false information regarding a specific topic
The best way to handle this is by correcting them in a nice and respectful manner, most of the time they will listen and correct it. If they don't listen and claim that their information is true then show them evidence that it isnt accurate but make sure to do all this in a nice and respectful way cause if not, you might get into an argument.
Second Scenario: Someone uses bad language or sends something inappropriate to a public GC
When someone uses bad language or sends something inappropriate to a public gc such as class gc then you should report it to the person who created the gc or is in charge, you should also tell them to unsend it.
