Netiquette is a set of guidelines for polite and respectful behavior when using the internet. When using the internet, you should always remember that you are communicating with people. As in real life, rules of etiquette are necessary on the internet. Netiquette is important to avoid misunderstandings and cyberbullying.

Knowing the basic netiquette rules helps us avoid disrespect and mean words to others online. We use the term netiquette to mean a body of conventions and manners for using the Internet as a tool for communication or data exchange, practiced or advocated by a group of people. 3. Common Online Threats

- Though sometimes, bad things could happen even how much we have tried to keep our information safe. Some examples of online threats can be first, phishing. Phishing occurs when an advertisement/website leads us to a fake site that asks for your personal information. Next is Malware. Malware is a threat where our laptop downloads harmful software that can be a virus. Lastly, the most known threat, cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is where people say/do mean things to other people online.

1. Use respectful language, the following are some disrespectful/inappropriate language: Name-calling, cursing and expressing offensive opinions. 

2. Respect privacy: Don't send information sent to you without consent. This includes copying and pasting texts, sending screenshots, and uploading photos or videos online that include other people. 

3. Use appropriate emojis: to express proper tone and intention

4. Never accept friend requests from strangers: Think before you click. Only accept friend requests when you know them, or if they are trusted.
